We live at a time of great change, when the future seems more uncertain than ever.

Bushfires, COVID, climate change and the fight for justice and equality are all challenging us to think and work in new ways, and to consider the road ahead to create the future we need.

This is a time that calls out for innovation.

Innovation for good is what we do best at StartSomeGood.

We exist to increase the pace of innovation for change by creating a world where anyone can be a changemaker.

A world where everyone has access to the information and insights, inspiration and encouragement, skills and support to turn their ideas into action and ultimately impact.

We are building the innovation infrastructure the world needs and the future deserves.

We INSPIRE innovation through events, workshops and speaking, including with our annual #StartingGood Virtual Summit, which this year attracted almost 6,000 participants.

We help aspiring changemakers and entrepreneurs to DESIGN social impact projects through our Good Hustle program and partner accelerators.

We help social entrepreneurs LAUNCH and TEST new ideas for change through our crowdfunding platform and programs like Pitch for Good Parramatta, ING Dreamstarter and the Pacific Crowdfunding Challenge with UNDP.

In the past 12 months alone we have directly connected with almost 10,000 early-stage and aspiring social entrepreneurs. We’ve had 100 enterprises graduate from Good Hustle, 32 go through one of our accelerators and hundreds raise much-needed funds on StartSomeGood.com.

The world needs the support we offer more than ever but fear, uncertainty and the economic downturn have made it more difficult for many members of our community to invest in their ideas for change.

That’s why we’re calling on established businesses of all sizes to consider sponsoring an emerging social entrepreneur to access our Good Hustle program, which would allow us to support people based on the quality of their ideas rather than just their ability to pay.

By funding a Good Hustle scholarship you would be doing good twice over.

You will be supporting a passionate social entrepreneur to design a new enterprise to serve the needs of their community while simultaneously helping StartSomeGood get through this difficult period, ensuring that we can continue to grow Australia’s innovation capacity and catalyse the transition towards a more equitable, just and sustainable world.

$1,000 AUD funds a scholarship to the ten-week Good Hustle social enterprise design course for a passionate social entrepreneur who would not otherwise be able to afford it. You will be connected to them for updates and cross-promotion opportunities.

For just $5,000 AUD we will run a stand-alone branded scholarship program, where we will source applications around your specified criteria, for example, female founders or migrant founders or those working on climate projects, etc, for you to select from.

This is a great chance to do good while also promoting your business and your values!

Equally, if you are looking to create a capacity-building or funding program to support social entrepreneurs or grassroots innovators please consider us as a design and delivery partner.

If you are interested in contributing to our mission please get in touch by writing to me at tom(at)startsomegooddotcom.

Together, we will overcome the challenges that 2020 is throwing at us and continue our momentum towards a more just, connected and sustainable world!
