Opportunities

Spencer Foundation Research Grants on Education

The Large Research Grants on Education Program supports education research projects that aim to contribute to the improvement of education. The budget will range from $125,000 to $500,000 for projects ranging from one to five years.

The following funding tiers include:

  • $125,000 to 250,000
  • $250,001 to $375,000
  • $375,001 to $500,000

Within each of the tiers, the projects will be evaluated. It is highly recommended that applicants submit for funding that best fits their project rather than applying for the highest amount.

If you are working on a project that aims to support education and have a BIG vision for the future, this opportunity may be just for you.

Global EbA Fun

Are you working on a projects that has a global, thematic, regional and/or country-specific focus? This opportunity may be just for you! The Global EbA Fund is prioritizing the closing of resource and knowledge gaps with a broad thematic focus on innovation and urgency for climate change adaptation, thus encouraging creative solutions and partnerships among funding applicants and the wider EbA community.

The Fund aims to encourage catalytic initiatives to help overcome barriers for upscaling EbA. The Fund is now open for contributions of USD 50,000 to USD 250,000, with no specified or prioritized regional or country focus. The maximum project duration is 36 months.

Climate Change Effects on Marine Mammals

The Marine Mammal Commission are accepting proposals between November 08, 2021 and April 13, 2022 for projects focused on climate change effects on marine mammals. The funding requests are limited to $50,000 USD.

They are seeking proposals that:

  • Further their understanding of how climate change affects, either directly or indirectly, the reproductive performance, survivorship, abundance, or vital rates of marine mammals.

or

  • Advance science-based conservation interventions or management strategies to mitigate climate change induced threats to marine mammals. Ideally, such approaches should be transferable across species and/or locations.

All applicants from both the U.S and outside the U.S are eligible to apply!
