The UN Women 2020 Asia-Pacific WEPs Awards aim to encourage, value and recognize the efforts of individuals and businesses that promote gender-inclusive business cultures and the achievement of gender equality in the Asia-Pacific region, guided by the Women’s Empowerment Principles.

This year, its 10th anniversary, the award-giving body will recognize initiatives in select categories, and winners will be celebrated at the prestigious Regional WEPs Awards Ceremony on December 10, 2020!

For startups in Europe

The Copernicus Incubation Programme supports the most innovative and commercially promising business applications based on Copernicus data and services. The programme awards 50,000 EUR to 20 European start-ups every year. Start-ups who receive the grant get equity-free funding to support their incubation. Furthermore, they get access to new networks, tools and promotion opportunities that’ll greatly help them launch their business.

To be considered for the next round of selection, you must submit your applications before October 23, 2020, 5PM CEST.

A Global Call to Invest in Mental Health

As the world comes together for World Mental Health Day, the World Health Organization presents opportunities to commit to taking care of one’s mental health and supporting others who are struggling with theirs.

Today, October 9, 2020, they are hosting an online 24-hour March for Mental Health that aims to

increase awareness of mental health issues, break down stigma and bring about policy change.

Tomorrow, October 10, 2020, or World Mental Health Day itself, they’ll be hosting the Big Event for Mental Health which aims to bring together experts and advocates from all over the world to talk about this often untalked about aspect of our health.
