We’re off to great places, we’re off and away: Recurring Crowdfunding is now live!

Are you ready to lead?

As we recently shared, we’ve been hard at work on the biggest upgrade to the StartSomeGood platform in several years, the launch of a new approach to crowdfunding and community-building: Recurring Crowdfunding.

We are excited to say that as of an hour ago Recurring Crowdfunding is LIVE

When you hit the “Start A Project” button on StartSomeGood you now have to make a choice of what kind of project, and therefore what kind of crowdfunding campaign, you’d want to start.

Recurring Crowdfunding allows community groups to build dedicated ongoing donor communities, social enterprises to offer subscription products and creative producers and community organizers to be supported longer-term.

It allows you to create a very different type of fundraising campaign, one that is focused on building a long-term community and creating a long-term value, for instance through an ongoing podcast, a membership community, a recurring product or a continuing community project like a community garden or advocacy group.

Whereas if you need to raise a specific sum of money by a set deadline, for example to close a funding gap or raise investment to launch a social enterprise food truck, being able to buy the truck etc, One-Time Crowdfunding is still right for you, and we still have the best model and provide the best support to help you succeed, which is why we have the highest success rate in cause crowdfunding.

We have been thrilled by the number and quality of organizations and projects interested in launching Recurring Crowdfunding campaigns with us and are so proud to be able to share the first group of campaigns going live with us today.

They’re all doing amazing work so please check them out and support them. There’s even a new community offering from us at the bottom :)
